Keating Resources

Sold – Chicago’s Largest Underground Dolomite Mine

Press, Real Estate | September 01, 2015

In 2005, Keating Resources permitted and developed the largest and only locally owned underground dolomite mine in Chicagoland. Owned by Mining International, the dolomite mine sold 1,000,000 of 182,000,000 recoverable tons of aggregate via truck and barge. Keating Resources then sold the mine ten years later, in September of 2015, to an aggregate business private entity, Bluff City Materials Group.

The sale of this dolomite mine follows the Keating Resources’ owner and CEO, Gerard Keating, successful business plan of investing in value add real estate assets.

Keating Resources, with offices in Florida and Nebraska, invests in value add real estate, logistics, agriculture and energy assets.
