The grand opening of The Landmark Casino, located in Deadwood’s historic downtown, is set to take place from March 1-3, 2024. This event promises to be an unforgettable blend of legacy and entertainment. 

The Landmark Casino pays tribute to the town’s rich history while paving the way for something new. Originally opened as Adams Bros. Wholesale Grocery in 1894, W.E. Adams eventually acquired the entire block, which is now home to The Landmark Casino. The Adams Block was acquired by Keating Resources in 2020 with refurbishments beginning in 2022. The newly renovated building features over 100 slot machines, table games, sports betting, and a stunning bar.   

The celebration is set to begin on Friday, March 1 at 2pm with the reveal of a 26-foot-tall sculpture. In a collaborative effort with Kriskadecor in Montblanc, Spain, the sculpture seamlessly marries contemporary aesthetics with a subtle homage to Deadwood and its rich heritage of Black Hills Gold. The design team recognized early on that there was a need to establish a visual and dynamic link between the two gaming levels. This vision materialized into an opening between the levels, strategically positioned in a prominent corner of the building. This opening is home to the art piece that embodies the fusion of tradition and modernity while serving as a representation of the town’s history with gaming and gold.  

The grand opening is set to include specialty drinks all weekend with scheduled events and giveaways. Friday afternoon features complimentary appetizers from 3-5pm. The weekend will feature live music from Tony David on Friday and Saturday from 2-5pm and 7-10pm in the Adams Bar & Lounge. Ready to win big at The Landmark? With Hot Seat Drawings of $100 every 20 minutes on Friday and Saturday from 5-10pm and Sports Memorabilia Giveaways in the Sportsbook, the chances are better than ever. The winning continues Sunday with another round of Hot Seat Drawings from 11am-6pm.
