Gunnar Messner
Gunnar Messner
Gunnar serves in a leadership role at Keating Resources, where he supports the development and execution of Deer Mountain Village’s on-the-ground operations and infrastructure. With over a decade of experience in the ski industry, Gunnar brings a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to building, rebuilding, and repurposing across the development.
Prior to joining Deer Mountain Village, Gunnar spent 13 years in the ski industry, where he developed a deep understanding of mountain operations, equipment, and terrain. His work is defined by a balance of leadership and execution, with a strong preference for being directly involved in the physical and operational aspects of each project.
Originally from Jamestown, North Dakota, Gunnar has a lifelong passion for building and mechanics, having worked on everything from airplanes to cars and tractors. He is currently restoring a 1982 FXE Shovelhead motorcycle by Harley-Davidson.
Outside of work, Gunnar enjoys spending time outdoors and values the opportunity to work in an environment that reflects his passion for the mountains and hands-on craftsmanship.
