Keating Resources bought 1,325 mountaintop acres fronting I-90, overlooking Spearfish and Centennial Valley, on October 8.

Alec Keating, Partner with Keating Resources, said that the purchase of the land, which was owned by the same entity for the nearly a half-century, was rare and an opportunity to create another unique and special residential community within Spearfish.

He said the firm is considering plans to divide the land into 40 acre parcels for residential development taking advantage of the spectacular views and privacy.
