James Nicklas

James Nicklas earned both a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business. He has professional experience across investment management and financial services, including roles at NexPoint and PricewaterhouseCoopers. At NexPoint, he focused on investment analysis, portfolio performance evaluation, and financial reporting, with involvement in underwriting and due diligence across credit and real estate investments, supporting investment decision-making through financial modeling and portfolio analytics. Prior to that, at PwC, he worked within the Banking & Capital Markets audit practice, where he conducted financial statement audits for investment-related entities, evaluated internal control environments in accordance with SOX requirements, supported SEC reporting reviews, and performed procedures related to complex accounting areas including acquisitions, debt offerings, and portfolio performance metrics, collaborating closely with client management and senior audit teams to deliver institutional-quality financial reporting and compliance support.
